MTN Limited Edition – Keith Haring (Medium Yellow) 2018

Keith Haring (1958–1990) was one of the most celebrated young artists responding to the urban street culture of the 1980s. Inspired by the graffiti that covered New York’s subway cars, Haring began creating drawings in white chalk on black paper used to cover empty advertising panels. The subway became, as he described it, a “laboratory” where he developed his ideas and visual language. Before his death, Haring founded the Keith Haring Foundation to support children’s programs and AIDS organizations, ensuring his legacy of generosity would continue. He passed away in New York in February 1990 from AIDS at the age of 31.
