Chaz Boj\u00f3rquez is widely regarded as a founding figure and leading influence of East Los Angeles cholo-style graffiti, a role he has held for more than five decades. Immersed in the traditions and visual language of East LA graffiti from a young age, he helped shape a movement rooted in post\u2013World War II culture. In 1969, he introduced his iconic tag \u2014 a stylized skull known as Se\u00f1or Suerte (Mr. Lucky) \u2014 which became a powerful symbol of identity and protection. Today, Boj\u00f3rquez\u2019s distinctive brush-painted lettering appears on fashion textiles as well as in museums, galleries, and private collections around the world.<\/p>\n
